As you know, next year is the 500th Anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation. What you may not know is that it is also the 100th Anniversary of the Missouri District, the 100th Anniversary of the Lutheran Hour, and the 70th Anniversary of our own congregation, Bethany Lutheran Church.
All of which is to say – it’s time. It’s time for us as God’s people to be who we were created to be. This is one of the most important times in history for genuine, historic, biblical, confessional Lutheran Christianity. We need to be involved and engaged with our culture and world. Why? In short, because the world needs us.
Now is the time for us to bear witness, to show mercy, and to celebrate our life together with God. It’s time to repent and believe the Gospel. It’s time to be reformed. It’s time for a Reformation.
